When I first read "The Great Gatsby" I was captivated. I immediatly wanted more. Now whenever I want something to read, I grab "The Great Gatsby" even after reading it hundreds of times, I continue going back into that world.

When it became public domain in 2020, I knew what I had to do, but I didn't want to restage "The Great Gatsby", I wanted to know more about the man himself. I want to see his journey toward becoming the myth.

I want to see the world through Gatsby's eyes, not Nick's.

I want to see Gatsby's struggle to go from an impovershed soldier to the multi-millionaire who throws a party every weekend just to see his love.

This is where:

Comes in. In this musical, we meet Gatsby just after the war when everything and everyone is lost to him. Showered with honors but no money and no Daisy. But his luck turns around when he meets a business man who can change his life - Meyer Wolfsheim.
